To Congressman Todd Akin who caused an outrage recently by declaring that abortion should not be allowed not even in case of rape because: "“If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."
The real scandal is not so much the comment of a senile old man but how could a man like this have gone so far in life and in politics believing that when a woman is raped her body detects it and shuts down the reproductive system...
