It really irritates me when I read english newspapers these days.
Screaming headlines as if a major leading politician had made such comments!
For Christ sake it was the outburst of a small town councillor who said it in a fit of rage (he has since profusely apologised) after his mother had just been attacked by an immigrant.(They conveniently forgot to mention this fact in the anglo saxon press).
How about the recent massacre of an old couple by illegal immigrants in Treviso? Or the drunk eastern european who killed 4 people and has not spent one day in jail! Didn't see these stories on the Herald or Times or Reuters....
Rather than concentrate and pontificate on the outburst of a town councillor why not instead explain what is really happening in Italy and the huge problem of illegal immigration due to the tollerant and inadequate leftist policies of the Prodi's governement and it's incompetence to deal with issues.
Councillor Giorgio Bettio is not to blame. Prodi and this shameful governement are.

Mango - with the amount of crap going on in the UK they have to divert attention elsewhere! A country where the three Rs are an unknown, where the labour NHS is a danger zone, where British tradition and culture are trampled on everyday, where teen violence is an issue no one seems to want to deal with....I guess having a whole article on some idiotic comments made by a politician equivalent to a local councillor in leeds helps them feel better!!

Già....e i sinistri nostrani hanno colto la palla al balzo per attaccare la Lega Nord, anche se questo Bettio non ne fa più parte.
Ciò che tu scrivi caro mango è sacrosanto: mi chiedo chi siano questi signori che non hanno avuto di meglio da fare che occuparsi di una vicenda che depurata dall'emotività che inducono certe parole pesanti (che poi voglio dire son sempre "parole" di gente esasperata ,e non gole sgozzate o donne stuprate...), è assoltamente marginale.
Dico io, ma dove vivono questi benpensantoni ... forsecchè troverebbero avvincente la prospettiva che anche Treviso (che per ora a mio avviso resta una delle migliori cittadine d'Europa sotto tutti i punti di vista)diventasse una specie di "Fognastan" come Londra?
Saranno mica quelli che tempo fa avevano scritto sul loro fottuto foglio di carta igienica che Venezia doveva essere abbandonata al suo destino invece che essere salvata?

Uno si domanda come mai questa notizia ha fatto il giro del mondo sui media a maggioranza anglo sassoni mentre il massacro di Treviso e stto riportato in pagina 9 o 10...colonna 13...
Qualcuno ha riferito, qualcuno intento a sputtanare la destra, a macchiarla, insomma c'e un disegno politico chiaro e noi siamo incapaci di fare "damage control" mentre i sinistri sono dei professionisti in questo campo....
concordo sulle reazioni esagerate della stampa, soprattutto perche' l'uomo si e' scusato e riscusato e scusato nuovamente ammettendo di aver detto una cazzata in preda alla rabbia. Double standard insomma.
