A good start

Monia Mzoughi during the trial wearing a burqa
(corriere della sera)

Maybe Italy (and Europe) is finally starting to wake up! This is definitely good news and a good start.
Monia Mzoughi is the wife of a terrorist called Mourad Trabelsi, ex imam of the mosque of Cremona, Italy, who was tried in September 2005 and sentenced to 10 years jail for being a member of a radical Islamist group that was plotting to attack the city's cathedral.
She attended her husband's trial wearing a burqa, covered head to toes, with her hands in black gloves in spite of being told not to do so when entering the tribunal.
So a courageous judge called Adriano Padula, having had enough of her behaviour in contempt for the court, has finally decided to try her using a 1975 italian public order legislation which bars people from wearing clothes that conceal their identity from security personnel "without a valid reason."
The trial is to begin next January 30 in Cremona, northern Italy, and Mzougi faces a maximum of two years in prison and a few thousand euros fine.
We should all applaud Judge Adriano Padula decision. Maybe this is the beginning of a wake up call in a country where the islamically correct has gone way over board!
